IBEW Local Union #743 was established in 1918 and has represented electrical workers in parts of Berks, Chester, Montgomery, Lancaster and Schuylkill counties for 85 years.
IBEW L.U. #743 members have worked on building and renovating the following area businesses:
John Beck Elementary School in Warwick
Miners Memorial Medical Center in Coaldale
Excel Meatpacking Plant in the Humbolt Industrial Park
and many more

IBEW Local Union #743 members are concerned for their communities. Members contribute time and money to area food banks, the Reading Fairgrounds, the Police Athletic League (PAL), Toys for Tots, Township of Spring Bureau of Police, Bravo Company Soldiers Fund, etc.
Would you like to learn more? Apprenticeship applications are taken the first Wednesday of each month from 8 a.m. – 12 noon or from 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at 20 Morgan Drive (off of Rte 724) in Sinking Spring. In our five-year apprenticeship program, apprentices work full-time with a union contractor and attend school two nights per week. After they graduate to Journeymen, the learning doesn’t end. Our apprenticeship program offers journeyman training as well as apprentice training.
