 MasterCardTM
SecureCodeTM is a service from MasterCard and Riverfront Federal Credit Union
that provides added protection when you buy online. There is no need to get a
new MasterMoneyTM Debit Card. You choose your own personal MasterCard
SecureCodeTM and it is never shared with any merchant. A private code means
added protection against unauthorized use of your debit card when you shop
online.
MasterCardTM SecureCodeTM is designed to give Riverfront Federal Credit Union’s
members more protection and greater control when using their debit card online.
Whenever your card is used at a participating online merchant, you will be asked
for your personal password (i.e., your SecureCode) to verify that you authorize
the purchase. This password helps protect your card against unauthorized use.
To sign up, you may register now by clicking on the MasterCardTM SecureCodeTM
Register Now! icon below or just start shopping. When you are ready to check out
at a participating merchant, you will be given the opportunity to register. A
window displaying the MasterCardTM SecureCodeTM logo and the Riverfront Federal
Credit Union logo will open. Just enter your account details at this secure site
and create your password to complete the transaction. It’s that easy!
If you are prompted to register
during check out and you do not have the required data available at that time, Riverfront will allow you to continue
that one time, but will indicate that you will need the information the next
time you make a purchase at a participating online merchant.
Once you have registered your card, shop like normal. Your MasterCard card number is
automatically recognized at checkout. When you shop at a participating online
store, the MasterCardTM SecureCodeTM window will appear. Simply enter your
password, click submit, and you’re done. Riverfront Federal Credit Union will
confirm that it’s you and allows your purchase to be completed.
Remember to always maintain the security of your information by keeping your
password and other personal identifying information confidential. To find out
